I have always been curious about how the world works, and I feel myself pushing the boundaries of what a trading desk can teach me. This desire has also manifested itself in my extra-curricular activities as I regularly read up on economics and finance in a number of journals, as well as keeping up with current affairs and the changing state of the global economy.
I also take responsibility for the budgeting of the extracurricular activities offered by the school, such as its after-hours childcare, the library and study trips. My determination to succeed, however, inspired a move to the UK inat which point my academic career really started to take flight.
It has been a dream of mine to study at this institution, which is well renowned for its social science courses. Why have you chosen the course? What modules particularly interested you or did you excel in?
Irrespective of who I am eventually employed by, I intend to advocate for sound economic policies that will moderate inevitable business cycles and promote sustainable prosperity through free markets and trade.
This is good, but it would be nice to see the same level of reflection applied to academic topics - this student has spent more time talking about football than about history. However, all that I learned from observing the causes and consequences of the crisis only led me to discover the limitations of my own economic education.

Why not any random course at any university? Where the applicant does talk about history, the discussion is superficial and focussed on ancient history, which LSE does not offer as part of our history course.
